But I am very frustrated with the media’s lack of questions to the presidential candidates about global warming.

The Daily Green just put an article out talking about how the presidential candidates are not being asked where they stand on the issue of the climate change - this is surprising to me considering its such a MAJOR concern to people. I just saw a poll on www.EarthLab.com that says people care a lot what their next leader thinks about global warming (after you take it they show you the results). Does anyone know of another poll or other results about this subject?

If not, go to http://www.earthlab.com/life.aspx and take their poll to see which way the results go. This is a pretty legit website; they are endorsed by Al Gore and the alliance for climate protection and they have a carbon footprint calculator. No matter which political party you vote for this is an important issue for our environment, our economy and for homeland security.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8174956708743188296.post-3371642242305774522008-01-09T09:00:00.000-05:002008-01-09T09:00:00.000-05:00Americans want change in Washington, there's no do...Americans want change in Washington, there's no doubt about that.

But try as they will to convince voters that they're the candidate for change, it seems obvious to me that candidates who are already firmly entrenched Washington insiders are NOT the ones who will make those changes.

It's exactly that insider same old, same old "experience" so many of the candidates tout that most Americans want to get rid of.

WASHINGTON CANNOT FIX WASHINGTON!

Mitt Romney makes a telling comment:

“People who have been there all their careers don’t begin to have the freedom of movement and the capacity to change Washington. They’ve got lobbyists at every elbow, the deals have been worked out in the Senate cloakrooms are just so overwhelming – the scores that have to be settled, all of the favors that have to honored. You just can’t get the job done in Washington with people that have been in Washington all their lives. So people are saying you know what? We need change.”

To me it seems perfectly clear that the most qualified outsider candidate, the one who is most likely to make real change in Washington, is Mitt Romney.

Romney's MBA and Doctorate from Harvard, his proven record of success in making the right executive decisions time after time, and his lifetime devotion to the family values cherished by most Americans demonstrate clearly that he's the man for the Whitehouse.

I think it's time for Americans to unite behind that man - he's head and shoulders above ALL the other candidates.

http://justamere10.blogspot.comJustamere10http://www.blogger.com/profile/05199157573292012975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8174956708743188296.post-31048036875316120002007-12-02T13:56:00.000-05:002007-12-02T13:56:00.000-05:00As a speech writer you have been a crucial link fr...As a speech writer you have been a crucial link from the White House to the public. Thank you for that and for your other endeavors.

We live in scary times. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

You touched upon healthcare and the rising cost of it takes away from our food budget. My husband and I pay for our own. Do medical costs have to become so high? I have said no to medications because I simply can't afford them. Do they have to cost 10 dollars a pill? Outrageous.

Something has to be done for the millions of people struggling with healthcare costs. I pray a solution is found soon.

And I pray The US picks up economically. Can we afford this war in Iraq? At what point does it become too expensive? I see signs of struggle everywhere. Gas prices are too high. How can people afford heating their homes this winter? How can limited income folks survive rising food prices? How can people keep their heads above water?

I know we can "not afford" to leave Iraq because of the implications but...we've suffered enough. It's time to take care of our own.

JJNature Nut /JJ Lochhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02895220529481743313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8174956708743188296.post-6452617629392915442007-12-02T03:25:00.000-05:002007-12-02T03:25:00.000-05:00I don't understand. It's like, what part of the word "illegal," as in immigration, is it that the politicians do not understand?

I think I'm more with Rush Limbaugh on all of these "rights." Where do they stop? If the right to marry is legally extended to gays, how about my right to marry a goat?Jack Paynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02838385417692720281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8174956708743188296.post-80094443843489681982007-11-07T17:53:00.000-05:002007-11-07T17:53:00.000-05:00I'm passing this information out to all bloggers w...I'm passing this information out to all bloggers who are a part of blogrolls in support of border security. I am especially interested in your call for creative solutions for health care -- since I have just been invited to an alliance with a large university to explore entrepreneurship as it impacts health care. We'll be writing a book on the topic - with the brain in mind. As your blog implies -- it's time for solutions - and I think they are out there for health care:-) You?ellen weberwww.brainbasedbusiness.comnoreply@blogger.com
