Michael Johns' Hour-Long Radio Interview with The Bottom Line with Ryan Prucker

Michael Johns' wide-ranging, hour long interview with the popular radio program, The Bottom Line with Ryan Prucker, is now available online. The audio, which can be heard or downloaded globally, is available at Episode 8 on the right column, midway down, of Bottom Line's web site at:

http://www.bottomlineryan.com/index-3.html

In the interview, Michael addresses the complexities of national and global Presidential communication, why President George W. Bush's liberation of Iraq will ultimately prove one of the great accomplishments of the century (despite its current unpopularity), and why several broken components of the U.S. health care system demand creative solutions, especially ensuring enhanced quality, patient-centered care and an expeditious solution to the 40 million Americans, or 13 percent of the country, who live without any health insurance.

Michael also offers great praise to former President Ronald Reagan and his administration, stating that Reagan's domestic policies salvaged a dangerous trend toward governmental micromanagement of the U.S. economy and that Reagan's foreign and defense policies were the single most important factor in the demise of the Soviet Union and the end of the 46-year long Cold War.

"The Bottom Line with Ryan Prucker" is hosted by widely-respected corporate and non-profit marketing consultant Ryan Prucker, President of New York-based Imagelight Advertising & Production, LLC and Executive Producer of the television series Exploring History's Treasures and Three Course Delight.

Thanks for the interesting perspectives and thoughtful posts, Michael. I am especially interested in your call for creative solutions for health care -- since I have just been invited to an alliance with a large university to explore entrepreneurship as it impacts health care. We'll be writing a book on the topic - with the brain in mind. As your blog implies -- it's time for solutions - and I think they are out there for health care:-) You?

I don't understand. What is Medicade if it is not universal health care? It's like, what part of the word "illegal," as in immigration, is it that the politicians do not understand?

I think I'm more with Rush Limbaugh on all of these "rights." Where do they stop? If the right to marry is legally extended to gays, how about my right to marry a goat?

As a speech writer you have been a crucial link from the White House to the public. Thank you for that and for your other endeavors.

We live in scary times. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

You touched upon healthcare and the rising cost of it takes away from our food budget. My husband and I pay for our own. Do medical costs have to become so high? I have said no to medications because I simply can't afford them. Do they have to cost 10 dollars a pill? Outrageous.

Something has to be done for the millions of people struggling with healthcare costs. I pray a solution is found soon.

And I pray The US picks up economically. Can we afford this war in Iraq? At what point does it become too expensive? I see signs of struggle everywhere. Gas prices are too high. How can people afford heating their homes this winter? How can limited income folks survive rising food prices? How can people keep their heads above water?

I know we can "not afford" to leave Iraq because of the implications but...we've suffered enough. It's time to take care of our own.

Americans want change in Washington, there's no doubt about that.

But try as they will to convince voters that they're the candidate for change, it seems obvious to me that candidates who are already firmly entrenched Washington insiders are NOT the ones who will make those changes.

It's exactly that insider same old, same old "experience" so many of the candidates tout that most Americans want to get rid of.

WASHINGTON CANNOT FIX WASHINGTON!

Mitt Romney makes a telling comment:

“People who have been there all their careers don’t begin to have the freedom of movement and the capacity to change Washington. They’ve got lobbyists at every elbow, the deals have been worked out in the Senate cloakrooms are just so overwhelming – the scores that have to be settled, all of the favors that have to honored. You just can’t get the job done in Washington with people that have been in Washington all their lives. So people are saying you know what? We need change.”

To me it seems perfectly clear that the most qualified outsider candidate, the one who is most likely to make real change in Washington, is Mitt Romney.

Romney's MBA and Doctorate from Harvard, his proven record of success in making the right executive decisions time after time, and his lifetime devotion to the family values cherished by most Americans demonstrate clearly that he's the man for the Whitehouse.

I think it's time for Americans to unite behind that man - he's head and shoulders above ALL the other candidates.
